Team Roles and Uniforms
The team at your Four Seasons Health Care Group home wear different uniforms depending upon their role and this guide will help you identify team roles and their uniforms. The uniform and badge identifies the individual’s role, meaning you can quickly identify who they are and what they do within the home.
No matter what their role or level of seniority – all our team members are dedicated and compassionate individuals who can create a home from home for residents, families, and team members.
Below you can click the brand of your care home to see a comprehensive list of roles within our homes. Not every home will have all these roles. For example, a residential home may not have Registered Nurses.
Home Manager
Female Home Managers’ uniform: Navy and blue suit with a blue neckerchief, or a navy skirt and white top.
Male Home Mangers’ uniform: Navy suit and white shirt with a blue and white tie.
Home Managers are the most senior person in the home and are accountable for all aspects of the home. A Home Manager is usually the person to assess residents prior to them moving in with regards to both care and wellbeing. They lead the team to achieve the highest possible standards of care and ensure the home is a happy and safe place to live and work. They will use their experience and compassion to support residents and families throughout their stay in our homes.
Deputy Manager
Female Deputy Managers’ uniform: Navy and blue suit with a blue neckerchief, or a navy skirt and white top.
Male Deputy Mangers’ uniform: Navy suit, white shirt and blue and white tie.
Deputy Managers work alongside the Home Manager to achieve the care quality and commercial objectives of the home. They also support all team members to deliver excellent care standards. In the absence of the Home Manager they are responsible for the operations of the home.
Administrator
Female Administrators’ uniform: Navy and blue suit with a blue neckerchief, or a navy skirt and white top.
Male Administrators’ uniform: Navy suit, white shirt and blue and white tie.
Administrators are often the first person you will speak to when calling the home or meet when visiting the home. They support the Home Manager, team and residents with administrative duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operations within the home.
Receptionist
Female Receptionists’ uniform: Navy and blue suit with a blue neckerchief, or a navy skirt and white top.
Male Receptionists’ uniform: Navy suit, white shirt and blue and white tie.
Receptionists tend to be the welcome and first point of contact for our visitors. They provide overall support to the home by with their excellent customer care skills. Ensuring residents, relatives and friends alike all feel included and informed and part of the home’s family.
Nurses
Nurses wear a navy blue tunic with white piping. They lead the care team and ensure the delivery of clinical care to our resident in accordance with individual care plans and the promotion of resident wellbeing. Our highly trained and skilled nurses demonstrate exceptional care and inspire excellence by leading by example.
Senior Care Assistants
Senior Care Assistants wear yellow polo shirts and serve as the primary day-to-day contact between families and residents, keeping relatives and friends informed about their loved one’s care. By leading the care team effectively, they focus on residents’ wellbeing and ensure that care and safety are maintained according to individual care plans.
Care Assistants
Our Care Assistants wear a blue polo shirt. They look after our residents on a day to day basis, getting to know all about them and what interests or puts a smile on each of our resident’s faces. They are responsible for the personal care of our residents – ensuring they are well looked after, clean, comfortable, feel included and happy.
CHAPs (Care Home Assistant Practitioners)
Our CHAPS wear brown a brown polo shirt They work with the care team but have completed robust training to provide basic clinical support within the home. CHAPs work closely with our nurses to ensure the nursing care of our residents is the best it can be.
Activities Team Members (Magic Moments Coordinators)
Our Magic Moments Coordinators wear a pink polo shirt. They are normally the energy of the home and responsible for the planning, creation and resident participation in a wide variety of activity that focus on the all-round well-being of each resident according to their care needs, to help keep the mind agile, the body fit and the spirit lively as part of our Magic Moments Programme.
Housekeeping and Laundry team members
Our Housekeeping and Laundry team members wear a beige polo shirt. They help ensure that the home is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and will often be bustling around the home changing bedding, dusting, and delivering freshly laundered clothes.
Chef
Our Chef wears a white tunic, black hat and black apron. They assist in the preparation, cooking and delivering the full dining experience with high quality, home cooked, nutritional meals and snacks for residents and visitors. Contributing to the overall wellbeing of the residents.
Kitchen Assistant
Our Kitchen Assistants wear a white tunic. They assist the chef in the preparation and delivering the full dining experience with high quality, home cooked, nutritional meals and snacks for residents and visitors.
Maintenance team members
Our Maintenance team wears a navy polo shirt. With their handy skills they maintain the homes to a high standard. As well as the general décor, the maintenance of the buildings and presentation of the grounds, our maintenance team will respond to a variety of requests for repairs or just ensuring our residents’ rooms and communal areas are well presented, safe and personal – so the home feels like a home from home.
Gardener
Our Gardener wears a green polo shirt. They assist the home to create a welcoming, pleasant and safe environment for all our residents and visitors to the home by attending to and maintaining the external grounds of the Home throughout the year.

Our Home Managers do not have a standard uniform, but they are always professionally dressed. They are the most senior person in the home and are accountable for all aspects of the home. The Home Manager or a senior member of the care home team is usually the person to assess residents prior to them moving in with regards to both care and well being. They lead the team and team culture to achieve and exceed the highest possible standards of care as well as ensuring the home is a happy and safe place to live and work. They will use their experience and compassion to support residents and families throughout their stay in our homes.
Administrators
Our Administrators do not have a standard uniform, but always look smart and presentable. They are often the first person you might speak to when calling the home or meet when visiting the home. They support the Home Manager, team and residents with administrative duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operations within the home.
Deputy Manager
Our Deputy Managers wear a navy tunic with red piping, however when they are working in the office they do not have a standard uniform, but they are smartly dressed. They work alongside the Home Manager to achieve the care quality and commercial objectives of the home and support all team members to deliver excellent care standards. In the absence of the Home Manager they are responsible for the operations of the home.
Unit Manager/Clinical Lead
Our Unit Manager wears a navy tunic with red piping. They ensure the delivery of clinical care to our resident in accordance with individual care plans and the promotion of resident well being. Our highly trained and skilled nurses demonstrate exceptional care and inspire excellence by leading by example.
Nurses
Our Nurses wear a navy blue tunic with white piping. They lead the care team and ensure the delivery of clinical care to our resident in accordance with individual care plans and the promotion of resident well being. Our highly trained and skilled nurses demonstrate exceptional care and inspire excellence by leading by example.
Senior Care Assistants
Our Senior Care Assistants wear a green tunic with white piping. They are usually the day to day contact between families and residents ensuring relatives and friends are kept up to date with the care of their loved one. Through effective care team leadership our Senior Care Assistants focus on the well being of our residents and that their safety and care is carried out in accordance with individual care plans.
Care Assistants
Our Care Assistants wear a very light green tunic with white piping. They look after our residents on a day to day basis, getting to know all about them and what interests or puts a smile on each of our resident’s faces. They are responsible for the personal care of our residents – ensuring they are well looked after, clean, comfortable, feel included and happy.

They are responsible for the planning, creation of an activities programme that focusses on the all-round well-being of each resident and to help keep the mind agile, the body fit and the spirit lively. They aren’t the only people delivering activities each day though, every member of our team gets involved.
Housekeeping and Laundry team members
Our Housekeeping and Laundry team members wear a lilac tunic. They help ensure that the home is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and will often be bustling around the home changing bedding, dusting, and delivering freshly laundered clothes.
Chef
Our Chef wears a white tunic, a black hat and black apron. They lead the preparation, cooking and delivery of our seasonal menus and overall dining experience. Menus change regularly and include high quality, home cooked, nutritional meals and snacks.
Kitchen Assistant
Our Kitchen Assistants wear a white tunic. They assist the chef in the preparation and delivery of our dining experience with high quality, home cooked, nutritional meals and snacks for residents.
Maintenance Team
Our Maintenance team wears a navy polo shirt. With their handy skills they maintain the homes to a high standard.
